Necklaces

landart The author is Yuriy Vakulenko, a heraldist from the village of Nizhny Sirogozy, Kherson Oblast.

Columns are Gedimina's Pillars or Gedimina's Columns, one of the oldest state symbols of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, Russia and Zhemaitia. They were used first as a personal sign of the rulers, and later as part of the heraldic signs of the leading aristocracy and a state symbol. The author creates an image of Gedemin's Pillars in the ground with the help of bright autumn leaves. Over time, Lithuanian heraldry dissolves into the earth, becoming part of its history.
