Ritual object commemorating the tribe of Semigallians

Antanas Adomaitis, Lithuania

The object was created from stones collected in the Vegeriai area. The Semigals (or Zemgals), one of the ancient Baltic tribes, lived in these territories from the 5th century. On the stones, the author depicted the top of a spear, a sword, a fibula and other objects that were found in this area by archaeologists during excavations.
