Aid for Southern Ukraine
Lithuanians who were friends of the "Ukraine-Lithuania Cultural Center" founded the charity organization "Aid for the South of Ukraine" in Lithuania. The head of the Cultural Center Natalya Bimbirayte and her team of volunteers research the needs and help to transfer goods and equipment bought in Lithuania:
Ambulances (all medical machines and equipment were stolen by the russian occupiers during their retreat from Kherson, so the need for ambulances is huge)
Cars for military and volunteers
Generators, trench candles, fuel
Medicines, food, warm clothes
Stoves "burzuyka"
and much more…
After de-occupation of the right-bank part of the Kherson region, Tyagin territorial community became to receive aid from Lithuania also.
"Aid for Southern Ukraine" sends 100% of everything it collects to the Kherson region, and this work are permanent and free of charge.
In order to collect funds, events are organized in Lithuania, including cultural ones, for example, a charity Christmas sale of artworks by students and teachers of the Vilnius Academy of Arts.
