When the reality and unreality come together, when the today’s body and brutality live side by side, when the substance exists only in motion, it’s time to cook chips. When the reality and unreality come together, when the today’s body and brutality live side by side, when the substance exists only in motion, it’s time to cook chips. When the reality and unreality come together, when the today’s body and brutality live side by side, when the substance exists only in motion, it’s time to cook chips. It’s time to cook chips. Time to cook chips. To cook chips. Chips. Chip.

Performance “Chips” is a show about an ordinary family. It’s about a mother, a father and a child, who is somewhere off-stage. The actors, mainly without words, perform typical for Ukraine gender roles (in sociological sense of word). The Feminine principle dominates in first part of the performance, the Masculine principle – in the second. The performance’s plot tells how the Feminine and Masculine dominance meet each other every day and every minute. Plot uncovers, that the dominance is an illusion in daily routine, because even evident signs of priority and submission can mean different things or do not mean anything. Somewhere outside the scene something important and unimportant can happen, but nothing happens inside the family apartments. Or may something happen? But chips have no relation to this.

The structure of the performance: choreographic show, 1-3 oral improvisations (stories) and musical happening, in which spectators and other participants can take part.
